Migration Studios is an award-winning boutique design firm crafting luxury residential architecture, specializing in architect-led design-build project delivery, offering bespoke architecture-only or fully integrated design-build services tailored to elevate client visions.
At Migration Studios, our story begins in the heart of Idaho’s Wood River Valley, where founder Cam Minor grew up surrounded by the rhythm of construction. Raised in a family of builders—his father founded Idaho Lumber—Cam learned the trades early, hammering nails and walking job sites alongside his father and brother. This hands-on upbringing instilled a relentless work ethic and a belief that anything worth doing is worth doing well.
Fueled by his family’s do-it-yourself attitude, Cam pursued a Master’s in Architecture at the University of Colorado, honing his craft under the mentorship of Denver’s Tres Birds Workshop, a firm known for its progressive, sustainable designs. There, he absorbed a philosophy that blends art, engineering, and environmental stewardship, shaping his approach to architecture as a transformative act.
In 2019, Cam returned to Ketchum, Idaho, to launch Migration Studios, a culmination of his roots and his vision for the future. Specializing in luxury residential architecture, our firm delivers both architecture-only and fully integrated design-build services, ensuring every project reflects our clients’ unique stories. From reclaimed-material ranch bunkhouses to urban housing projects like Boise Ave, we weave beauty, sustainability, and precision into every detail, crafting homes that feel alive and connected to their place. Inspired by his daughter, Goldie, Cam designs with a personal touch, building not just structures, but legacies that bridge Idaho’s rugged past and its innovative future.
