The site is small and sits within a flood plain — two conditions that would lead many architects toward caution and compromise. Cam Minor, AIA treated them as the generative forces behind every design decision. Working within a tightly bounded envelope, the architecture achieves a spatial generosity that belies the site's limitations. At Migration Studios, design begins with place — specifically with the vernacular forms and materials that Idaho's architectural heritage has refined over generations. At the Creekside Residence, that philosophy shapes everything. Timber, stone, and steel are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, producing an exterior that feels neither nostalgic nor foreign. The barn proportions, the deep overhangs, the honest material transitions — these are elements drawn from Idaho's historical building traditions, distilled into something unmistakably of this moment and this landscape.
